Mihr
Zero ~ Male ~ Him to Love ~ Her to Hurt ~ Angel of Diveen
Trouble always finds puppies. It was part of growing up and Mihr was no different. As fall began to creep slowly into Diveen and change claimed the pack once again, the child felt something was off. Still too young to truly understand the happenings of his home, the cub knew that now was his chance to discover the other parts of this world. Mom and Dad were busy with the new alpha so Mihr made his escape one sunny afternoon. He had discovered the river separating the two packs a week ago and the strange smells coming from the other side made his curiosity grow. The only thing to do was to explore it, feed his childish sense of wonder. The mountain peaks had already gathered snow and had caused the river to dwindle to a meager stream as the ice and snow clung greedily to the water far far away. It was easy to find stepping stones across and within minutes, the child of the heavens was in the land of the sea.
It seemed anti-climactic. He thought something else would happen when he crossed the borders, like a tingling in his paws or maybe the other pack would be different colors. But nothing happened. He was simply there. Feeling a little down, the dark boy moved quietly though the bush and deeper into Glorall. What he thought was sneaky, of course, was not. Each step was loud and brash, awkward paws crushed leaves and splintered twigs as he made his way through the pack. The deeper he went, the more he started to see that there were some differences between the two lands. Diveen did not have nearly as many trees as Glorall. They were tall and full of ugly birds that squawked loudly as he passed and huge rodents that lazily wandered about, ignoring the non-threatening child.
Giggling and growing more confident, Mihr trotted faster until he emerged from the shrubbery and onto a beach. He gasped in surprise as he watched the waves crash upon the shore. His home didn’t have a beach, but tall cliffs that the ocean beat endlessly against. With an excited bark, the angel boy launched himself at the sand and laughed as the sand tickled his soft paws. He chased the waves, growling at them as they tried to soak him and barking at them when they ran away. This was fun! Forgetting that he was trespassing in a foreign land, the child played by himself, unware that eyes were watching him carefully.
