Darkness had always been a comfort to the young male. He enjoyed the peace and familiarity it brought him. He didn’t need to wonder what was going to go on at night. Night held secrets, but it also held usual activities and events, events that he had grown accustomed to. The male’s favorite part of the night was the moon. It was his friend, a part of his world that he could always count on. It was evening time, and he was just starting to wake up from his slumbers. He still preferred to sleep during the day and to roam at night. Life was just more fun and interesting when the sun went down and the dark came out to play. Green orbs followed every shadow that moved, every being that wandered the pack lands with him. Lupin had been left to his own devices as of late after agreeing to be Halina’s protégé, but this evening seemed that there was going to be something on the agenda. Audettes perked as he heard Grey Wind’s call through the trees. Another pack meeting was about to take place. Though he had not spent much time with Halina, he knew that being late was not an option.
The skinny bruteling padded through the all too familiar trees, knowing exactly where to go to get to the place of meeting. It was not far from where he had set up his place of slumber. Most wolves made dens and slept under cover and protection, but Lupin did not. He preferred to sleep in the brush and shrubbery, hidden enough to keep his form from the sun, but not boxed in by walls. He often became claustrophobic when forced into smaller places, so he avoided them when he could. After a short period his paws entered the clearing that Grey Wind had called them all to. There were already wolves there, some that he knew and some that he did not. His green orbs lingered around for a moment at the new faces before focusing on the alpha. He gave the male a respectful nod, as his mentor had taught him to do. She was already there, with her mate and the other being that she had taken in. Ambrosia was older than Lupin though, and he didn’t come up to her height when he padded over to join them. He remained silent though, sitting next to the young female and nodding to Halina and Ygritte in greeting.

The red female had been plastered to her mate’s side since they came together. Normally she did not settle down with one being, but something had just clicked with Halina. She knew that life would never be boring with the female and that the two were made for each other. The pair had taken a short vacation together, running off for privacy from the younger beings that Halina had decided to take on under her wing. Luckily they had taken a decent amount of time away, and they had been able to get a decent fill of each other. And it seemed that they had decided to come back just in time for a pack meeting. They headed to answer Grey Wind’s call without hesitation. There were not many there when they arrived, and the two made sure to great the alpha. Halina also took the time to say hello to Ambrosia. Ygritte settled in, sitting beside her mate, giving her one last nip to her ear as she waited for the meeting to start.

Life had become one that was boring and without purpose for the female. She thought that she had made the right decision by coming to a pack for her young, but they were gone now. Neither Corde or Felan had been around for years, and she still felt the pain from not having them around anymore. Azula had not been doing much within the pack lately, but then again not much had been going on as of late. Paws wandered aimlessly at the borders, doing duties that she had been assigned to her even though it often seemed pointless. One evening as she was wandering about, doing a border patrol as there was not much else to do, she heard a call ring through the trees that gave her some hope. The multi-hued female knew that Grey Wind had gone out on some business recently, and it seemed that he was back to call the pack together. Maybe he would have something for them all to do now. Her paws turned around, heading in the direction of the clearing. When Azula arrived she saw that the only varg she could call a friend was already there. With a bow and a hello to Grey Wind she padded over to Mabbit, sitting down beside him to see what Grey Wind would have to tell the pack.

The young brute could only focus on one being in the clearing, Macaria. His audettes perked for a moment when Halina pointed out to Grey Wind that she was different. Last pack meeting she had been terrified, hiding behind the alpha and Lupin wondered why she was allowed to stay within this pack. He had been told by Halina that Abendrot was for the strong and fierce, not for the weak, and Macaria seemed nothing but weak to him. But now she seemed a whole new wolf. She was standing tall, not hiding and cowering. She spoke out, asking about two other vargs before approaching a new male. There was blood staining her pelt, and it made her look good. The male needed to know what transformation she had undergone to be like this now. There must be something that she could teach him. He gave a glance to Halina, wondering if his mentor had noticed his affixation and would be upset. But Lupin’s gaze quickly went back to the female, focusing on her and knowing that he would need to talk to her after the meeting.
