Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Did this boy have no sense of safety at all?

I was tempted to reach down and wrap my jaws around his neck. To maybe shake him a bit so he would see reality. What an idiot, I sigh inwardly. Belly open for evisceration and head tilted in obvious enjoyment of his life. It is what makes me grin though because I know the loose feeling that rattles in his chest. It is mirrored in mine. The freedom to do whatever the hell we decided to without informing some master. I rather liked the young buck. He seemed way more relaxed here than he did with the group. Good for him but I was about to slap him into shape. Maybe earn me some free food and some downtime. I should save my prairie dogs to take back to Elara - after I tracked her down, that is. My smile becomes something savagely thrilled with itself. Yes, she would be pleased and awed and.... well, we would see.

My grin etches deeper as Israfel rolls over, looking put out that I had ruined his afternoon lazing. Still, my eyes narrow on his words and I huff. "Watch your mouth, boy, or I'll show you how real creeping works." Okay, that sounded creepy, even to my own ears, but I chuckle to myself anyways. I watch him eye my catch and then glare at him when he rudely stands up and shakes himself off. Onto me, of course, and with a grumble I shake as well, ignoring his bow for a minute.

It is awfully kind of you... he begins and I frown, unsure where I was being kind in all of this and glancing over to note his tail waving before he finishes and grabs MY critters and takes off running. "YOU LITTLE BASTARD," I scream after him, growling furiously and reaching down to snatch the last prairie dog into my mouth before I race after him. I am fit and lean and I eat up the ground with ease. Maybe the prairie dog in my mouth hides the grin on my face, maybe not, but I certainly wasn't going to suffocate myself by chuckling despite how amusing the situation was. The little hellion had tricked me but I rather enjoyed such mischief.

The distance between us slowly diminishes and I give it all that I have, huffing around the dead animal in my mouth until I beside him. Then I gather myself in one leap and with a push to the side and leap on Israfael, wrapping my paws around his hips if I get lucky and dragging him down with me.
