Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

with every rain comes a fresh breath of life

The blistering winds burned his skin. His fur never was quite as thick as some, and that really was not assisting him now as he pressed his way through the winds towards a small cave that held promise of some shelter. Snow was falling heavily over all Moladion this winter but Ruieze was the worst and that was honestly why he was here. Stupid as it sounded Ame had to follow the storm, making sure even the small prey animals he could find could get to shelter, or the foxes and deer get into the woods. Anything to help protect the balance of the lands he came to love and appreciate over his life.

Even now as he pushed his way through his ears were twitching around doing their best to make out any sounds through the wind. He shivered slightly, fur bristling up before settling down in a wavy-curly mess over his body. It was then his form froze a high pitched voice reaching his darker colored ears causing his head to lift up and him to quickly scan the snowy area. A whimper, he was sure of it and it was close. Luck would have it he wasn’t far away it seemed he immediately called out to the whine.

”Hello! Where are you!? This one will help, just this one needs to find you!” He felt like his voice was ate by the wind, but he really wasn’t far from the crevice that the girl had fallen down. He moved towards the sound giving a few sharp barking sounds hoping to encourage whoever, or whatever it was to reply to him again. He wanted to help, he would do anything to help he just had to find the source first. He could see the quickly fading prints not far away now, the wind quickly covering and devouring them but that was his first sign that he was on the right path.

Forcing his way his paw slipped on the edge of the crevice causing him to wince and back up real fast for the one second his paw had lost its footing. His heart was racing and for the first time he didn’t feel cold. Did they fall? ”Are you there?” It was a shot in the dark but he had to try the sound, it was unnerving. The shadows masked whatever was down there and the storm was not helping, but Ame wasn’t going to let this go until he figured out what happened.
