Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

four - homeless - heartless - soulless

His heart felt light, for some reason. He couldn't discern where exactly the feeling was coming from, but he had decided to forgo analyzing it. He felt good, and that was good enough. Perhaps it was the air, crisp and clean, or the feeling of fresh snow underneath his paws, likely the last snowfall of the season. Yet, it was likely that is was something completely different- something intrinsic about this day. Pointed, almost fox-like ears flicked to catch all the sounds surrounding him- the chirp of winter birds, the rustle of branches in the wind, the crunch of snow under his paws. It was like music. Senketsu smiled, crimson eyes looking upwards, closing his eyes against the sunlight. The breeze stirred his pelt, cold enough to keep him on his toes, but not enough to chill him. It really was the perfect winter day.

Senketsu picked up his pace, and before long, he was loping alongside the river. His long, slender legs ate up the ground, and he allowed his body to stretch out as he went faster and faster. Trees and rocks flew by him, and the land seemed to blur together as he let his paws carry him down the river. After some time, he let his pace gradually slow, his breath hardly heavier than normal. He had always been good at running. Meteor had always teased him about his graceful disposition, saying that even if he could never win a fight, he could always successful outrun his aggressor. The male snorted. The larger brute was likely somewhere near, but Sen was looking forward to exploring on his own. Perhaps he would finally get a chance to meet someone, talk to them more than a passing greeting.

He slowed to a trot as something in the distance caught his attention. Crimson eyes peered curiously, his grey brows furrowed as he tried to make out the form on the other bank. He drew closer, finally coming to a stop across from her. They were on opposite banks of the river, but they river was narrow enough here that they wouldn't have to yell at each other to communicate. "Senketsu," he introduced. "If we want to chat properly, I suppose one of us is going to have to cross." He glanced down at the water, noting the ice that clung to the outer banks.

"Delightful." He remarked, his voice dry, but there was a sparkle in his eyes when he looked back up at her.
