Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

He was resting. He knew he couldn’t go barging into Iromar in the middle of the night. He didn’t know, right away at least, that the one he was searching for was coming his way. Somehow he had telegraphed that he was on his way, somehow she knew he was coming and so she too wanted to meet him in the middle it seemed. Cenna wasn’t unaware of the growing feeling, but he wasn’t sure what that feeling meant inside of him. He didn’t know that she was plowing her way towards him once again to scare the ever living crap out of him once more. She had the last time too, and he had ashamedly ran, tail between his legs and perhaps a bit of a… trail going behind. He was so embarrassed he thought he could die. Perhaps that was what put him off from seeing her sooner. But he wanted to see her again. He figured she was special, knew she was probably his imprint and that she should be something more to him but what Cenna didn’t know.

As he thought about her it seemed she materialized out of nowhere. He nearly jumped out of his skin for a second time due to this girls loudness. But he was a bit bigger now, a bit more sure of himself or at least his ability to run away. She had changed a lot but not very much over the year, his breath escaped him for a moment as he stared at her. While he was startled by her initial yells as she kept going he only could stare as she moved and placed herself next to him. He was mildly surprised by her. Or scared? He wasn’t sure what he felt. He was reveling at the fact she was here yelling at him again.

Once she was done screaming at him he let silence fall over them but that glint of hurt behind her eyes cut him deeply. ”I’m sorry.” It was all he had to offer her for a moment. ”I- you- startled me and you have this way of being a bit. Loud.” He offered her not really sure what to say, but didn't want to insinuate that he didn't like her because of it, ”But I am not running away. Yet at least.” He wasn’t sure what to say to her, he felt bad, but she wasn’t exactly the most welcoming figure with that loud voice. He was so quiet in comparison, his voice higher pitched but still clearly guy-ish. But like his grandfather he didn’t yell to get his point across. A soft sternness, leading by gentleness. Cenna had grown a lot and while he was still a bit more jumpy he was older and a bit more experienced now. Hopefully that would work for him this time around.
