Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

with every rain comes a fresh breath of life

He never really thought to go over there before. He didn’t know why. Many times he and the others had traveled across these lands but did not wander to the little spot she had found for herself. Perhaps it was the waste of energy or the likely lack of prey that really didn’t allow them to take the trip, but now that it was spring and food was plentiful with all the prey having plenty of progeny to hunt if someone needed an easier meal. Ame was happy to join her and see it for himself now, something he never would have dreamed of when he was a child himself. He didn’t know it, but it was actually this girl’s older half sister, Semele, who helped him figure out who he was, and what he was supposed to do with himself. That gave him the confidence he needed to come out of his shell and become the much bolder, friendlier figure she would soon meet.

With a smile and a nod he took a few steps back before giving a few running steps, then leaping forward soon plunging into the water. It was just deep enough he had to swim, but he thought he could feel his claws touch the bottom of the waterbed in the area he was crossing in. The water was cold, it was run off from Spriane’s melted snow so he wasn’t exactly surprised, but he didn’t let it bother him too terribly as he covered the short distance and soon was walking up onto the banks. Once it was just his tan paws left in the water his form shook wildly sending droplets of water flying all around him and speckling the rocks around him. He looked a mess, his fur wet and curling slightly all over him. It was a trait he gained from his father, but only really showed itself when it was very humid out or he was drying like now.

His sky blue eyes looked towards her, his tail waving lightly as he took a look at the small space they were now sharing. ”It’s a nice spot to have to yourself.” He notes cheerily before bending his legs and springing up upon her little perch. He looked around again his tail still waving good-naturedly before letting his eyes return back to the younger, black and white girl. ”This One thanks you for your hospitality.” He says bowing his head politely to her before settling himself on his haunches.

”This one is called Ame. What is your name?” He wasn’t afraid, he trusted his instincts to tell him when he was in a dangerous situation and usually he was right about those he met and their intentions. This girl was very kind, but Ame wasn’t exactly the largest or most imposing male she could have run into out here. He had his mother’s kind eyes, least that was something his father had said to him, perhaps it was that that let people in and trust him. He didn’t think he was much like his father at all anyway, not that he disliked Meryl, but his mother was special to him she helped give him the skills he needed to understand all animals, not just wolves. While his father taught him healing and that helped it wasn’t something that Ame thought he needed in order to do what he wanted to do. It certainly helped but was not the keystone in his desires.

It hardly mattered at the moment though. For now Ame just wanted to check out this new place and see if maybe he could make a new friend out in the free lands today. Always a day well spent if he could make a new friend or ally.
