This summer was absolutely grueling. She was not pleased at all with how ridiculous the heat had been within the fields. Every morning she dreaded the sun as it climbed higher and higher, the heat only rising to where it was absolutely unbearable. Deep within the caverns of her lair she wanted to stay within the brief cooler area and the darkness wishing that the sun would simply disappear, regardless of the fact the sun was indeed important to the circle of life. However, as an Alpha she had to come out and expose herself to the terrible basking sun, jealous that her imprint could remain within the caves, jealous that he would roam mostly at night. Over the long days she was disturbed at the possibility of a fire bursting through her dry fields, weary at the very idea her pack’s lives could be in danger. Thankfully no fire struck as it had within the moors, but summer was not done, and the very threat was always at the back of her mind. Today she was walking down the bank of one of the river, pleased that her grey paws were feeling the relief of the cool water, her paw pads taking in the water allowing herself the cool off in this way.
She had already taken the time to guard the territory satisfied that all was well. Although her mind was deeply troubled. Her children were becoming of age during a time when the Moladion was far too quiet. Most of the packs were quiet amongst one another, even the moors when they just had a new Alpha take charge, she still didn’t have much news about that particular pack. Other than Diveen, Iromar was one of her closest allies, thanks to her own daughter, and she was hoping it would remain as such. However, she was uncertain if their new Alpha would want to, and she hoped that Jakuta would come soon to tell her of what was going on with Iromar, and perhaps maybe she would make a visit herself. Steadily she continued to walk, her paw prints leaving deep prints within the mud of the banks. More thoughts continued to twist and turn within her mind as she continued to walk, not really on the lookout for anyone that was coming to approach her.
