Religion: Grew up with some Christian influence, may or may not follow the same faith (adoptive parents were raised Christian but were not firm believers/enforcers).
Appearance: Sol stands 5'9" tall and is thin almost to the point of gauntness; he was healthy - maybe had a few pounds to spare but nothing worth worrying about - up until recently, so the change is quite noticeable in his appearance. His skin is pale in a way that suggests recent hospitalization or illness; he is naturally more tan, and would likely regain his "normal" color fairly quickly if he spent time outside (or on the water). His golden-brown eyes are tired and sunken from malnutrition, exhaustion, and grief. He has an industrial piercing on his left ear and regular ear piercings on each lobe; his tongue is also pierced. He has two very new tattoos on his back, similar to these, with the sun on his left shoulder and the moon on his right. The moon's eyes are closed and it looks peaceful, while the sun is awake and looks more serious/sad than the picture. He has a large scar on his left calf which looks like it was caused by an animal bite.
Personality: Sol is a shell of the young man he once was. Where once he was bright, sunny, and engaging - a very sunny man to match his sunny name - he is now distant and cloistered, adrift in a sea of grief. Not much seems to get through his frozen shell, neither bad nor good, and he usually walks around as if in a fog. If encountered, he will usually be extremely polite, albeit a bit distant. In his werewolf form, Sol maintains some minor control over himself; he's driven by instincts, but is more curious than aggressive and has not attacked anyone since being changed (he acts more like a big, slightly feral dog who has known SOME kindness, but not enough to trust all fairies).
Backstory: + Abandoned w/twin sister, Luna, on Christmas Eve with a note containing only their names, birthday (July 22nd), and a plea to keep the siblings together if at all possible.
+ Were adopted by a childless couple in the area; the fact they were adopted was never hidden from them, but they had little interest in finding out about their birth family and considered their adoptive parents as "the only ones they need". The family was a bit stern - with firm boundaries and appropriate punishments for disobeying them - but very loving and supportive. The twins both went through their "rebellious" stage, but it was far shorter and mild than some of the kids they hung around with.
+ Their adoptive mother was an art teacher; her and Sol bonded strongly over his own passion for art, specifically charcoal drawing. Their father was a retired promoter for local bands, eventually signing on at the high school as a choir teacher; he and Luna bonded over her musical talents, with her eventually settling on vocals and guitar.
+ Shortly before their 21st birthday, Luna's band got great news - they were going to be signed on by a big name record label!
+ To celebrate the good news - and to have a big party for their 21st - Sol, Luna, and six of their closest friends set out for a four day camping trip. Everything was going great - people were getting along well, booze was flowing, and there was lots of laughing and goofiness going on - when werewolves attacked. Sol was attacked by a small female and he managed to get her off of him by bashing her over the head with a piece of firewood, eventually climbing a nearby tree to wait out the night. Unfortunately his position allowed him to not only see and hear everything going on below, but his sister Luna even made it to the tree and started climbing before she was pulled back down.
+ Unable to handle everything that had happened, Sol turned to heavy drugs; it was during this time that he began to realize his Dream Walker powers. This was of some comfort to him; he wasn't able to see Luna in his own dreams, but she would show up now and then in his mom & dad's. He'd only just started trying to get his life back on track when he came through to Shaman.
