Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

i will be your demise

It was rare Sekhmet left the fields in fall for nothing could cover her scent enough to explore until the snow decided to touch down and even in this cold blustery day of fall-winter bared its teeth. Her coat was thick and lush; she wasn’t so much weighed down by heat stealing her energy now she was free to run and stretch her limbs like she had desired. A grumble of complaint echoed in her mind as she turned from the resting forum of her companion not wishing to stir him for the sun wouldn’t show itself for hours yet she bolted, sprinting through the grasslands passed the sparse herds of bison and pronghorns.

Sekhmet broke stride to a simple trot feeling the burn from her limbs; she knew not to push herself too far but it gave her a rush. She entered Ruieze fields feeling the winding down of adrenaline that coursed through the excitement of running and she found herself merely padding throughout the territory spying a few deer and a herd of caribou but nothing of that nature sparked her taste or interest today. She pressed onwards and glowered a dip in cold water wasn’t appealing to her but she knew wiser to skirt the neighboring territory without cleansing herself of her own home. She proved to protect what she cared for and this would not fail today.

Plunging paws first she dived into the frigid waters from the safety and used the current to aid her in drifting to the narrower river to find herself in Glorall. She watched with a silent curiosity before shaking her fur out hoping to dry herself rather quickly only for the fall air to take advantage and take pleasurable bites at her flesh. Growing ever so quietly she moved forwards into the depths of the pack yet always skirting the edges hyper vigilant but she found the earth beneath her paws fade and shift to a softer kind of terrain. Perhaps if she had been a fun-loving youth she would dig into it but she was none of these things.

It was here she moved to the shore a place that drew interest like the cove of Asteraia had, but today she was alone here without her company to enjoy it leaving it a half appealing site to see. She settled her back to the wood but an ear turned towards them cautious for the approach of another. Never fearful but ever cautious she dared not be caught by surprise or blindsided; Sekhmet was accustoming to running into a scuffle here and there but it never made her question the demands of curiosity despite the growing hunger in her mind. She knew of no treaty with this pack; even so, it was doubtful she would be traced back to the grassland the bitter waters that she had to cross to get to this place comforted her in that regard. She waited in silence debating on if a snack was best found here or elsewhere. If so she must decide soon for the crack dawn will soon give her away.

you're going to love it, i promise

OOC: Reply if you wish however she will attack if she feels need/desire and will leave the encounter if she feels need. She has no name for no one knows or will know it so please do not name her when in speech with her or other wolves about her. Thanks.
