Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Alistair

As he waited, Alistair was intrigued by how different the air smelled here. In the forest the air tended to be almost claustrophobic in quality, moist and heavy. The air here was light with salt and breeze, far freer than the confines of the forests. He was not quite sure which he enjoyed more. Perhaps there were other factors to consider... like the sand that clung to his paws and the wispy fur on his legs, or the bitterly cold wind that blew in from the sea. The male wondered if the lives and schedules of the wolves here were different from the ones of Taviora, if the freer air called for a freer soul. It was too heavy a question to debate now, though, seeing as the peculiar alpha of Glorall was swiftly approaching.

Alistair had not forgotten the piercing and probing stare of Eden, and perhaps there was always a little bit of pretense with these visits but he certainly appreciated that the older male did away with the pleasantries. It had always struck him as awkward, as masking the true intent of both parties. 'Taviora sends you?' His eyes moved to catch the words leaving the lips of the alpha he had come to speak with. The male nodded, far less nervous than he had been the first time they had met, and far more confident in speaking and understanding.

"Yes." He said, stark white gaze moving from lips to eyes. There was a certain sort of look others got about them before they spoke, and that was his cue to return his gaze to the place where the words emerged. It was inconvenient but it certainly did not stop him or even slow him down. "Hyrule rules Taviora now with his... partner. They stepped up after Amoxtli was injured." A flicker of pain, of failure, appeared in his eyes for an almost imperceptible amount of time. There was something nagging him about that event, though, something that he could not place. Something that tugged even harder the more time that he spent in Glorall.

Alistair pushed it aside. "I am here on behalf of Hyrule and Zelda, to formally reinstate the alliance that I came here to forge with Solaris so long ago." He tilted his head. "That is, if you are interested, sir Eden."
