Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

I am Magnolia.
It wasn't very often that she got control so she learned to cherish it when she could. Everything always seemed so much brighter when she was out here. In there, it was a party of different voices and personalities. Everyone wanted to be heard but only one could be in control at a time so in the meantime, everyone else took a backseat but they were never happy about it.
Even now, she could hear Bandit stomping around, his tail swishing in agitation because he couldn't do as he pleased. Diesel, at least, was content to let her have her freedom. He was there for helpful advice anytime and would defend her till his dying breath. It's just who he was.
Bandit was a bad wolf, a very, very bad wolf. Mags hated when he took control. There were never good intentions on his mind when he took the joystick.
But today was a new day and she could smell the fresh green of the grass in the fields that she walked through. She took her time, wanting to enjoy every piece of this world they had stumbled into. She closed her doe brown eyes, letting her other senses go wild, but then a twig snapped somewhere off to her right and she jumped instantly, her tail tucking as she turned to face whoever was approaching.
She almost felt silly when she saw the older male but when she caught the scent of blood on his mouth, she froze up in fear. It was an instinctive reaction for her, something she couldn't control. Even though somewhere in her mind, she processed that it was prey blood, not wolf, her eyes widened and her body stiffened like a board.
Her past had molded her like clay and made her into this fragile thing. Her mother was not loving or coddling. She was vindictive and cruel and she loved to play mind games with Mags. From the moment she could open her eyes and walk, Mags had only known abuse at the paws of her mother. Her father was absent, a womanizer as her mother liked to call him. According to Jane, he had left them before she even knew she was pregnant with Mags and she resented her for it. She blamed Mags for making him leave them.
Mags was smaller than average, maybe 20 inches and a hair above 130 pounds. She was fragile in more ways than one. Her fur was rose gold but dull and her frame was lean, almost too lean. She was probably stunted as a cub because her mother blamed her for eating her out of the den. She started rationing Mags' food, saying she had to eat an adult sized meal while Mags only needed a child sized meal.
Her hip bones protruded and her face sunk in a little. Her coat was thin and she often found herself cold, even in the warmest conditions. She always seemed to feel weak and exhausted and she always felt hungry but would often turn away food if it meant someone else could have more.
For all that, Mags was very smart. She could find angles in certain situations that a normal wolf wouldn't even think of. She was often underestimated, but she was used to that.
The male was getting closer though and she needed to act and soon. Diesel was shushing her, telling her that it was okay and he seemed friendly. He was reassuring her that the male didn't mean her any harm.
Bandit was trying to tease her, trying to make her doubt the source of the blood on his lips. He wanted her to see a nightmare where there was only a wolf so she looked away and closed her eyes, willing the wolf to go away, as if he were a mirage, but of course, he wasn't.
When she looked back, he was still there, and time was running out to escape, so that meant that she would probably have to talk. She took several deep breaths, willing herself the courage but knowing that she would always come up short. Finally she focused her gaze on him.
"H-HI. I'M MAG-MAGNOLIA. I THINK I'M LOST. CA-CAN YOU HELP ME?"
