Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

this is the end

His childhood was no picnic, to be sure, but there was a lot of good wrapped up in the bad. At first, there was Bellatrix. She was a wild card but he liked that about her. Her mother, Stella, on the other hand... Well, she did try to kill him so there's that. Seems he had a thing for the wild ones though because he was trying to catch up on the rumor mill since coming back to Moladian.

The main girl on his mind while away was always Malleah though. He felt like crap for leaving her right when she needed him most. He had failed her just as he had failed Bellatrix. Why else would she have left him? And he had left Malleah. It ate away at his heart and soul to know that he had left her skinny and in need of food and company, her and her children. He was a horrible being for that and he would never forgive himself but he knew what he would hate more. If he didn't go back and try to find her and make things right, he would definitely never forgive himself.

And so, Exodus went back. It didn't take him long to find himself in the tall pines of the forest but he felt comfortable here, safe. It definitely wasn't Diveen but that pack had stopped being home to him a long time ago. It never would be the same without Natalya, Devil, and River. It would never be home without his family.

He didn't expect to run into anyone he knew, though. At least not until he could pick up on her trail. He knew that he would have to hunt down Malleah eventually and find out what had happened. Surely she would have survived. If there was one thing he had picked up on from the short time he knew her, she was a survivor. She would always make sure she survived. He was counting on that.

He made his way down to the stream, looking to get a drink but the minute that scent hit his nostrils, he knew he wasn't stopping now. His head snapped up, golden eyes finding the gray and black of her fur and his heart skipped a beat. Could it be that easy? His tail went to wagging and his ears flicked forward in a mixture of joy and caution. Of course she wouldn't welcome him back with open arms. Why should she? She might even attack him on sight or worse yet, not even recognize him. He waited with bated breath until she saw him.

At first she flashed fangs at him and though he held his ground, he didn't react otherwise. His ears flicked back and his head lowered a little as he tried to find his voice. She beats him to the punch though, her beautiful eyes widening as she said his name on a whispered breath. his heart went to racing at the sound of her voice and he nodded.

"YES, IT'S ME, MALLEAH. EXODUS. I'M BACK."

He waited again with bated breath for her response. Would she rejoice in their reunion or reject his company? He was so eager to reconnect with her that at first he missed the obvious bulge of her sides. It took him a few moments and when he did finally notice, he had to blink a few times to take it all in, ears flicking back as his tail lowered a little in barely hidden disappointment. She was with child. She had to be. How could he be so stupid? He should have known she would move on. He was gone too long. He had missed his chance.
