The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

the only way to get rid of
temptation is to yield to it
She had her adventures of her own wandering towards her father's homeland and back again. She had been back in Moladion for a while, but she still remembers the time she took just following the stars. It was a tradition of her father. It was the purpose of his visit to Moladion in the first place- to find other lands and learn from them to bring back to the pack. But she was not connected to a pack like father was. She was not as he was, and thus her purpose in the wandering was...different, something she had not come to quite understand yet.

She had wandered from Moladion and back again- yet she had not fully explored Moladion. It was still a large place. How can she learn from wandering outside of these lands if she does not learn all she can from inside them? Not like she understands what she is trying to learn. Frustrated, she found herself wandering the grotto for now.

The grotto was a place that made her uncomfortable. She did not like going there at night, away from her stars, so she went in the day. The stars were not out anyway, and she sometimes felt a gentle message in the tiniest glimmer of light on the damp surfaces from time to time. She had found such a surface today, with her blue eyes if sapphire and sky staring upon it. She felt a bit...odd, slight sounds echoing and coming to her ears. She had learned that no noise happened unless something made it. Her nose wrinkled as rolled onto her stomach. The noise continued, and it sounded like paws- coming from where she came from. Was someone following her trail? She remained still and silent- eyes peering at the dim lit path she took to get to where she was. There was a dripping of water in the distance every now and then, but otherwise it was the wind...the wind that came to her in a breeze. It flowed against her face, and it spoke to her.

It told her that he was near. There seemed to be a touch of moisture to it- sweat perhaps, was his stressing to find her? This made her black lips part in a smile as she lifted her red and black form. The grotto had many winding paths, and it is easy to have sound echo...to get lost within it and trick someone else. It could be...interesting, and she remembered he was quite the interesting boy. She giggled, the sound of her voice echoing through the grotto as she dashed the other way. She tried to be as quite as she could after, turning a rocky corner and then another, before freezing in place- an ear lifted...listening for if he advanced to find her.
