Re(10): Food For Thought

I have been around pulling all my life. Big ones and little ones. Change can be good and I agree, change can be bad. Am I not right by saying that in the past, when I was a kid and ran with this group, that we ran ertl toy tires turned down? Then we went to the tires we run now. When I was a kid, the four-by-fours ran 100% melted fishing worms (this is what my uncle ran). And now we run foam and silcone. And am I in the wrong by saying that Jay tried to make new rubber tires a few years ago? I know in the past that the motors in other classes were a lot smaller then they are now. I talked to Gary today and I understand why he is not 100% for this becuase of the money to switch over. That's why I suggested it only be an option in the 5lb class and not go all in. I am all the time building and rebuilding vehicles to try and better myself. I would love to have a semi that would walk all over Jims semi but I've not found that point yet. I am not trying to hurt the club, but instead trying help us go forward. There has been a lot of other changes over the years and I feel this would be a good one. I apoligize for my ealier post but it seems like noone wants change, they just want to stick to the old ways. Please consider all of this before posting back.
