all alone just the beat inside my soul
where my dreams are made of gold
The lesson to learn from life was no matter how many friends you may have, there are always some few who were out to get you. Momma had told her when she was young, to prepare incase she or anyone she cared for, came in contact with those, so that she could prepare well. It was better to be ready in case of a bad experience. She was not intending to use any poison on anyone anytime soon, nah, she just wanted to be prepared for the worst. You never knew when it would come in handy. As a healer you learn of the bads that outweigh the good, the bad herbs you need to learn how to cure those, not that she was going to be able to create anything that could reverse the effects of this poison. This mushroom was a death sentence, and no one could stop it.
Eyes of pink watched the darkened body move closer, her head tilting as she paid close attention to the slight weary walk towards her. She knew her words would confuse most, talking about healing in one word, then about her poison mushrooms the next. She did not want to alarm him, no, she just knew she liked being upfront and honest, with anyone about anything. “Momma always said no matter who was your friend, there was always an enemy around. Thus, I prepare for the worst, no matter what may come my way.” she nodded slightly, pink eyes alight with the knowledge she spoke. She loved her learning, and was eager to learn more and more, to be one of the best healers in the lands. One coveted by many packs alike. Yes, she was a bit needy in that aspect.
She wanted to expedite her learning, and for that she would have to seek out the best, and she’d yet to figure that out. Whispers of a great healing in Spirane, and that had been where she’d been born, so part of her naturally wanted to gravitate back towards there. She laughed, a soft flitting sound as he spoke of sticking close, since she was lucky in avoiding the predators of the night. A grin spread like wildfire across her maw as she watched him. “Of course, for your protection.” a light laugh followed. She’d spoken of what her mom had taught her, and she thought more on the subject of why she needed them.
“I always fear the unknown, I enjoy making friends, but I know in the back of my mind there are wolves who are out for blood, other wolves blood, and it makes me weary. I’d also rather know of these poisons so that I could learn how to reverse their affects. This one, doesn’t have a reversal, though.” she looked towards the pile, a thoughtful look spreading across her face. She knew they were dangerous, and she’d been careful plucking them from the ground as to not crush their stems, or break any of the frills off the bottom side of the cap. Doing those would end a wolf, faster than they wished.
