Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

demi-goddess - three - worshiped by none - loner

Jakuta was not one to stay awake through the night, the goddess needed her beauty sleep. This left her with somewhat of a conundrum then, because on this particular night she found it near impossible to fall into any state of rest. She would be lying if she said it wasn't from fright. She hadn't had to witness it, or gods forbid be victim to it, but she had heard the whispers. Grizzlies and cougars, roaming the land with a particular vengeance. These were the nights where she missed pack life, but more than that, she desired her champion. Someone to keep watch while she caught up on her shut-eye.

After fitful hours of tossing and turning, falling into shallow slumber and waking mere moments later, Jakuta gives up. There would be no more sleep for her tonight, and so she conceded to the rising sun.

Keen ears, slightly dampened by the dew of the morning, listen for any creatures beside herself as she abandons the safety of the trees behind her. For a creature as small and gangly as she, being in the open was asking for trouble, and immediately handicapping her. This wolfs strength lay in her ability to run, to weave in and out and over through the thickets and find a place to hide. Her strength was sorely lacking, being the runt of her litter, and so she keeps a watchful eye in her trek across the fields.

Until now, as her eyes catch the dark pelt of another, she hadn't run into any other creatures. From the looks of it, this one didn't seem much of a threat. Her muzzle lifts slightly as she tastes the air, wondering if she knew this creature, this male. She is careful in her approach, silver speckled face held high and footfalls bringing her gracefully nearer. "Greetings, stranger." The sun has not yet risen, and the stars in the sky were still shining bright. Yet she is rather more interested on the stars in the strangers face, and she thinks to herself, champion.
