She jolts back at the sudden hiss and then lunge, her heart nearly stopping in fright. She keeps up her noisy and adamant refusal of the cat’s claim on her Senketsu. It is only that jolt, though, that moves her out of the reach of the cat’s final scratch that lands glancingly across the side of her neck with a sharp yelp escaping her thrashed head--

Only to watch as a golden-red streak leap into the fray and thoroughly save her from more damage done by the cat.

He is ferocious in her eyes, but that ferociousness is faced towards her foe, their foe, and so is greatly admired - envied, even. He was brave, proud in his audacity and defense, and she has a flash of a moment to awe in him before she is back to true-time and she rushes in to steal the now freed Senketsu from out of reach of the mountain lion.

Around the beast and her second savior she dashes, "Watashi o saranaide!" She shouts at him, desperate with the bloody side of her neck, the brokenness of his leg, and the now desperate knowledge that her defender tackling the cat would not do so alone. Not without much loss of usefulness. "Watashi wa tatakau hōhō o shiranai!"

She says this, but she whirls on the cat anyway, lunging into the fray with savage and multi-attempted bites that would grasp, puncture, release, grasp, puncture, release, and on and on until she had thoroughly dissuaded the cat and gained them an avenue of freedom to wherever might render them safe.
