He could sense Eden's ever watchful gaze taking in his ever move as if studying him, sizing him up for the task at hand. He could only hope that he was not found wanting when it came down to it. He had never wanted something so much in his whole life. He wanted to do something for his family's memory and for his sister, something to show that he was loyal and that he could fight when called upon. Glorall was his home and hopefully it always would be. He hoped to some day find a mate and raise his family here. He wanted to leave behind a legacy they could be proud of, just like he was of his father Fenrir. His mother, Natu. They were idols, glorified. He wanted that too but he wanted to make his own way getting it. As they raced through the brush, he could swear he almost saw a twinkle of mirth in Eden's eyes, as if he were actually enjoying himself. It wasn't a common thing to hear of Eden cutting loose and just having fun, at least not common knowledge amongst the pack. He always seemed so serious, so determined toward one secret goal or another. But this was different. Thor could see his sides heaving with each stroke of his legs but there was still excitement in his movement, desire in his gaze, a new kind. He noticed the sudden change in Eden's attention when they got closer to the sea and that's when he chose to launch forward, speeding past Eden and dropping his shoulder in case he needed to defend himself. He felt the brush of Eden's outh as he nipped but luckily he escaped with his hide and fur intact this time. When he glanced back, he was able to see Eden slowing down and nodding his head and could only take that as a cue to slow down himself. It seems the race was over. Thor was almost disappointed. He was having so much fun! His tail wagged and his tongue lolled out, his sides heaving in eagerness as he panted and grinned. His eyes were bright with life as he turned back and trotted to where Eden was, ears pricked forward to take in his question. He scowled in thought if only for a moment or two before he shrugged lightly. "My first goal was to slow you with my sudden closeness but if you were to push forward, I was already poised to trip you up to keep my position." He watched Eden's expression closely, wondering how his logic set with the alpha. Would it be considered too predictable, something h would expect him to say or could he see that Thor was willing to look at all possible angles to get something accomplished?
