He didn't know what his father was like before he was born. Sometimes in his youth, he used to try to tie together all the stories he had heard of his father's greatness and try to figure out how he had come to be the hated exile that he was then. His father was a legend from the time before the meteors came. He had been an alpha of his own pack, a guardian and leader who fiercely defended his home and family against intruders of all kinds. He was undefeated in his time, wise and looked up to. He had been a family man, even though he had 2 families at the time. Exodus could never understand how he could go back and forth like that, hurting both females all because he couldn't decide. Of course, Exodus would never know the pull of an imprint so maybe he just couldn't understand. Maybe in a way, it was a blessing instead of a curse that he would only be able to choose who he bonded with and there's no one else he could ever think about rather than Malleah.
It seemed he had managed to relieve some of her tension by giving her a smart remark about yodeling, watching the smirk tug at her lips which only make his own lips respond in kind. She tilted her head, seeming to consider what he said before she took small steps toward him. His ears pricked forward, even allowing his tail to thump against the rock to let her know he was friendly. He chuckled lightly when she said he looked like he needed a nap, nodding his head.
"Yeah, I probably do. Unfortunately, I don't think beauty sleep is going to offer me any beauty today. What do you think?"
He smirked lightly again, one brow raised in good humor. She told him she wasn't dangerous, only to rodents and he smiled, glancing around.
"Well it seems they heeded your warning for I don't smell any close by."
Stretching out on the rock, he let a big yawn roll off his tongue before giving the female a curious look. He shook out his fur before speaking.
"I'm Exodus, by the way."
