...THE BEAST YOU MADE OF ME
I held it in but now it seems you've set it running free
Bryce still had her things tucked away in the grotto cave. She had migrated from the swamp, and now kept her home in the cave below the crags. It was warmer here, though the rocks were a little more difficult to traverse over with the ice. The shelter played a part too, a semi-permanent place to return to each night. Whereas in the woods she rarely slept in the same place twice. Therefore, despite her discomfort and unease being underground, she found her intentions to leave undermined and her ominous fears ignored.
With her caught hare trapped between her jaws, her dark form jogs across the rocks, careful to avoid the divots in the rocks hidden by snow, and to slow around the shine that suggested ice. A wipe out would be unideal, and despite her growling stomach, she would take her time getting to the cave.
Except something else intends to delay her meal.
She smells the other wolf before she sees his pawprints in the snow, the ones further off already covered thanks to the heavy snowfall. They are large, but it smells like that cheater Tep, and her mind tells her it is him. Come to take his prize, but she would not go without a fight. She tucks the hare away at the front of the cavern, and with hackles raised and teeth bared she ventures carefully further in.
