He was growing now and into his awkward stage. He tripped over his feet even more than he used to and he hated it. He knew he was never going to be a big or burly wolf but at least he could get better at slipping into places unnoticed or get charming so he could like on a dime and learn everyone's secrets. He knew that he wanted to be a great spy for the pack and maybe even steal a wolf or two that he deemed important. Ones with secrets, ones with power! He loved the idea of this. He had theories about that awkward boy he met at the river. He acted as if he didn't know how to interact with others. Fen figured either he'd never had much of a childhood with other pups or he wasn't allowed to interact with 'commoners' in his pack. The boy had said his parents were loners but he wasn't that good of a liar and Fen didn't really believe him but he played along that he did. In the end, he would figure it out. He was always going to and he would make sure of that. So today was a day of practice. It didn't work out so well with the rabbits when he was younger though his sister was a good distraction. Tikal was a girl so she was allowed to be happy about flowers and the snow and stuff but now it was time to get down to business! Xerxes wasn't around as much which was just fine by Fen's account but he wanted to be smart and cunning enough to outsmart his pretty boy brother when he did decide to come around. He had thought of asking for an audience with the alpha himself, his uncle Halcyon but he wanted to brush up on his sneaking skills first. So he was practicing in the grassy plains, moss green eyes alertly scanning the area for any "intruders." He needed to brush up on his interrogation skills too if he was going to steal wolves for the pack some day. Who should he interrogate first? He snuck up on the first wolf he came to, crouching down low and wriggling his hind end but not too much. He didn't want to give himself away, after all. When he was sure they were good and relaxed, he pounced forward, aiming to land right behind them with a "boo!" from his lips before he chuckled and took a seat. "Did I scare ya? Now let's get down to business, shall we?"
