Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Dexter
male.11 years old.35in, 145#.born to MothxCoszcotl.sibling to Amoxtli&Zeltzin.unable to bind.mated to none.father to Eztli, Lixue, Petra, Citlalli, & Itzel.Taviora

He had expected suspicion to him sniffing around the borders of Glorall but he had not been expecting full hostility. He alwyas figured that if he stayed on the neutral side of the pack borders then he would be free of bared teeth and growled words since he wasn't tresspassing but it would see either the wolf who greeted him was not the type privy to conversation or he was just having a bad day. Either way, Dexter wouldn't let it ruin his mission so when he saw the male step from the shadows with his lips curled and a growl echoing in his chest, he simply straightened up and turned to face the male, ears pricked forward and his fur stayed smooth to let the other know that he wasn't going to rise to his challenge. Dexter was quick to violence himself, probably more so than his siblings or any of the rest of his family. He was a hunter of other wolves, after all. He was also pretty good at picking out the bad apples so to speak, and something about the wolf before him reeked of bad seeds. Maybe it was the robotic motion of the wolf's legs or maybe just that dark glint in his eyes but Dexter had a hunch that this wolf had killed other wolves, probably some innocent ones in that batch.

He made sure to study the wolf before him as soon as that thought arised. His face stayed neutral and expressionless but he was calculating everything about the other. He wasn't familiar to him but he had a sense that something wasn't completely right with the male either. He thought of Amoxtli but reminded himself that he wasn't here for that mission. He needed to talk to Zeltzin first. Instead he only cleared his throat and kept his voice low and careful so as not to provoke the wolf.

"I regret to inform that I'm not in the market for those today otherwise I'd bet that you own the bloodiest pair out here. I come looking for information on a pup stolen from another pack. She was being escorted here by another female pup, probably around the same age. Ring any bells? Anything come in smelling of the swamps lately?"

There was no tinge of fear in his eyes and he held the wolf's gaze evenly. He wasn't looking to challenge him but he certainly wasn't backing down from his mission either. He was doing nothing wrong by coming to these borders and it would only show bad on Eden's pack if a Taviora wolf was attacked on his borders.
