While he wasn’t entirely wrong (Oswin had been an intruder, just as she was now, and he hadn’t known her intentions), Oswin had already decided she loathed him too much to step away from her judgement and see his side of things. In her mind she painted him as the villain she needed, the one who needed a good swift kick in the face while she rescued her sister from his oppressive rule. A smarter, less impulsive individual would be more diplomatic about their approach. Unfortunately Oswin was anything but.
She narrowed her eyes as he dismissed her. A moment of tense silence passed between them, her muscles coiled tight, her tail giving a few swift slashes through the air at her hind.
Oswin drew a step back from him, pulling away from the slightly closer distance she’d put before. Her eyes darted away from him, studying the various shadows and shapes in the oasis at his back. Surely Nova was somewhere near, and there were no great trees to stall any shouts… Oswin drew another step back and her gaze swung back toward Koray.
“NOVA!” She shouted suddenly, as loudly as she could manage, “NOVA! IT’S OSWIN! COME QUICKLY!” Gathering her legs up beneath her she started forward and to the left, attempting to pull enough energy to push her into a trot or gentle lope before Koray could realize her intentions. Oswin wanted to rush further into his home, shouting loudly and wildly for her sister to come find her. “NOVA!”
