He didn’t care a single bit how she had presented herself the first they met in so long. Haziel was just simply happy to have her back. It was hard to explain, his love for his sister had always been on the verge of… too much, but he had enough control and knowing she was his sister to not do anything beyond the love he had for her, only aided by Alcmene and her presence to distract him from his mind wandering. It had always been that way, even as children, they went through the same struggle, the same problems together. While she couldn’t hear the biting words, he couldn’t see the looks that the family that disapproved of them being as they were, he could never understand what she might have went through instead. He was always happy she couldn’t hear them, but she got a completely different experience, and while Forfax tried to keep them happy Haziel thought the pressure might have gotten to him so he vanished to who knew where.
Still now Nahal was back with him and he was happy for that, he knew she was deaf so in terms of saying his name or anything he wanted to be there for her. Always when he was young he had been super patient and trying to teach her words, but he was just a child then. Who knows between now and then what she had picked up or lost. Cause unlike some things Language was something where if you didn’t use it you would lose it. However, to his surprise he smelled his sister, heard the soft touch of her paws leading up towards him he turned, only to be more surprised when she had said his name.
It sounded like she still remembered, a smile touched the corners of his otherwise rather inexpressive face since his own blue and golden eyes couldn’t come close to finding her own. ”Nahal.” He said though he knowing she wouldn’t be able to hear him but hoping she would recognize the movement of his lips as a greeting of her own name. She bounded closer to him and he turned his body full well to take any embrace she might give him. Haziel had never been a touchy wolf except when it came to his parents and littermates, otherwise it was overwhelming and nerve wracking to be touched by others when he couldn't’ see what was going on.
Their communication was hard, special but still it was their own, he needed to figure out how far she had come along and if maybe he could go back to trying to help her learn to speak a little more like he had when they were kids. He was better, more patient than ever now and seemed to have all the time in the world to dedicate to her and see what he could do to help her.
