These feelings were so strange and familiar, her time linked to Balor had been short, but for the time they were connected there were lots of strange feelings. He wanted Zelda to be his and own her. He was her shadow creature, but she didn’t know if it was her lack of backing down or the fact she had Hyrule around, but suddenly he was gone. It surprised the girl back then, even hurt despite the fact she was not happy being linked to a wolf such as him, but now she was relieved. Now, Zelda had a chance to have a soul connected to her own that was light and caring as her soul was. It felt much better, more fitting, this was an epochal bond even though she had imprinted before. Before she thought that fate had given her Balor because it was counteracting the light she had within myself. Now she felt is if Fate was giving her something she needed to keep her own soul from being tainted to much from the dark.
She smiled at him watching his ears perk at full tilt when she spoke, but then her gaze flashed over to the female that was coming over the hills to his side. She was at a pretty good distance away with him now, but she heard her say something in an almost teasing tone, but Zelda couldn’t make out all the words. They sounded friendly enough, though and Zelda felt a little nervous for some reason. She wasn’t exactly sure why but with him here and now another presence it was hard to deal with everything that was going on internally especially as suddenly the reason she was here at all came crashing back to the forefront of her mind as the wolfess then calls to her if she was staying for the night. The female and the young male who was her imprint’s scent wafted over towards her, it was then that she realized the scent of the female was similar to that of the borders, but the male’s scent that wafted with it also was similar to her own, but it relaxed her she didn’t feel quite as tense, figuring they were siblings now.
”Yes, I was!” She started but before she really got to say much more the female stated her name and position. Aster. A sigh of relief came from Zelda, Aster was a name she recognized, the name of her uncle’s mate. So the land was still his, though it seemed she was pulling most of the weight currently. Zelda worried for him, but she opened her maw to speak but suddenly her imprint burst forths with an encouraging nudge from Aster. The auburn wolfess closed her mouth simply smiling at him in a somewhat adoring manner as he scuttled around gathering up some flowers in his maw before rushing towards her.
She didn’t know what to think other than he was, well adorable. His confidence, replacing his earlier skepticism was surprising if nothing else reminded her a bit of a pup despite his age, though is rather slight size certainly didn’t help the impression Zelda was getting of him. It was endearing, and already she felt herself becoming more and more attached to the slightly younger wolf, her tail wagging and her smile widening as he trotted up to her placing the flowers at her feet. It seemed his confidence was quickly wilting though, watching now as his eyes went from her paws and suddenly settling on her own. He had unique eyes, now that he was close she could see the red rim around one of them but not the other, but the moment their eyes met he seemed to deflate completely.
Some reason she didn’t feel like she should exactly coddle him as he averted his gaze and adopted a more submissive posture. It was so strange that while they were together the thoughts again of all the troubles she had seemed to become less so. She felt her mind still if even for a moment as she focused on the flowers instead. Reaching her head down slowly and past his own she took a deep sniff of them letting out a deep calm breath. Though they were just dandelions, they were the most wonderful dandelions she had ever seen. ”They are wonderful, I will treasure them always. Thank you,” She left her voice trail off so that he might give his name, though it seemed he had pressed himself once more against his sister nervously. Lifting her head she smiled again her tail giving a wave realizing she hadn’t said her own name yet with everything that was going on.
”It’s nice to meet both of you, truly, it's an honor.” She says bowing her head before looking back up to the two of them and introduces herself. ”I’m Zelda.” She offers, no titles nothing else, she had a feeling that Halcyon would have mentioned it and if not she would fill in the rest. Right now she was enjoying the fact she didn’t feel panicked or worried, just here enjoying the small things, trying to get to know Aster and her new imprint too.
