Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Kajika was not completely oblivious. The young wolf had a strange feeling in the pit of his stomach. It was a feeling of being watched. He slowed briefly, casting his gaze about in hopes of seeing something. His ears flicked, picking up no abnormal sounds in the forest. His instincts said to move quickly. Everything after that was a flurry of motion that the boy did not fully register. He wasn't quite running, but his discomfort had him moving with a strong sense of urgency. For the first time, Kajika felt fear. The blur of motion ahead of him had the pup hitting the brakes. All he could do was scramble away, dropping his catch in the process. The young male was lucky, no doubt due to the sudden appearances of his father and another stranger. It was so much for his mind to process that he didn't realize Myrria had almost hit her target, the soft flesh of his right ear shredded by her fangs as he ran to his left. His father had appeared, and that was probably more the reason the female missed her mark. He didn't go far though, for Exodus had aided Jinan in thwarting Myrria. Kajika stood there, making himself as small as possible. his gaze went to his father, fear making him uncertain of what to do. Be still, he was told. But Kajika wanted to run, back home to where it was safe.
