Honestly, Quinn was tired of moving forward. Tired of moving on, of nothing lasting. This was always how it went; get something good, find some bit of happy and then it would be gone again and he had to keep moving. It was no an easy thing, not by any means. Quinn wanted it to stop, wanted it to be calm and wanted things to work out. This was not how fate or whatever else seemed to want it, and Quinn was starting to feel numb to the idea of keeping anything good in his life for very long. He knew better than to take any time for granted, and it had been part of the reason as to why he had made many of the choices that he had up to this point. Why he was willing to risk more and sooner than he might otherwise.

And it was still pointless. He was still back at square one with his life, though this was only a new chapter. So he lets himself slide here, let's life just go on with what he already knows. With what he already understands. The feel of Echidna's body under his and her fingers bruising at his skin, teeth marking at his collarbone. These are things he knows, which makes it easier to get lost in all of it. Caught up in all that's happening here and now and forgetting the thoughts that should deter him. He can feel her fingers twisting the hair at the nape of his neck, hears the sounds that she's making and just barely notes the fact that her hair has turned lavender and silver between his own fingers. It's pretty, endearing for obvious reasons.

She was unlacing his trousers as if her life depended on it, and he was tugging on hers in a more frenzied sort of way where they might not be of much use when he's done trying to rip them off of her, and his teeth inch down, seeking a softer spot at her shoulder while he causes the half shift to bring his feline fangs back. And then he was sinking his teeth down at Echidna's shoulder and seeking blood that often only made him more feral. Or that was how it used to be. This time, something was different. The way that he could take in blood for all sorts of things was one of those changes. The biggest was the fact that he could take memories with each drop of blood, and right now it had him hooked the moment Echidna's blood touched his tongue and everything else was forgotten as he try to drag as much blood from the wounds as he could, gulping it down and unable to stop himself.

(( he's going to take three set memories, but you can decide how many others and what they are that he gets o: ))
