Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

This was it, today he was going to the ocean, like it or not! His mom kept telling him to stay put in the den and his dad kept telling him to stay in sight where it's safe. Well, safe, schmafe! He wanted to explore! He was growing bored with always playing with mom and dad and there had to be others out there more like him! Smaller and easier to tackle. There was only so many times that he could be convinced he actually tackled the much bigger Thor. He needed more play mates! Plus the ocean was just calling his name. He had to see it! He could hear it from the den and it was oh too tempting. Every time he tried to sneak out and see it for himself, one of his parents would stop him but not today. Today his dad was away training someone and his mom was hunting for food because he complained that he was hungry. Wasn't he so clever? In reality he wasn't that hungry. He just wanted to distract mom so he could sneak out.

And now he was going to be successful! He had only to figure out exactly how to tread over this spongy tan stuff. It stuck between his toes and got all squishy. There was some in the den but it was dry. He tried to run on it but he only ended up tripping and sliding because he kept getting stuck in the wet parts. Why was it working against him? He growled at the squishy stuff. And then he saw it. The first crests of the great big ocean. It was so blue! And so big. He was overwhelmed, stopping to simply stare at it in wonder. Now what?
