Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Matianak watched him. His body language, his eyes. There was something to not trust about Thorne, that she admittedly couldn't put her paw on. She and her dear brother never really interacted outside the days of early memory that faded into obscurity. She did know Umbra held disdain for him, and that was more than enough to willingly interact with him. Her eyes narrowed slightly at his response. What was he playing at? He was almost an enigma. Almost. She would see through him eventually, the girl knew it.

"Would you rather I took my frustrations out on you, then? Or perhaps Natiya. She is such a good sister, she would probably let me if I asked," she said, leaving the words hanging for a brief second. Long enough for it to settle into his brain before a smile crossed her maw. "But that is neither here nor there, sweet brother," Mat went on with a light shrug. A flash of anger crossed her features for a moment. Not at his description of Under. True, as of late their father had been... lacking, but he was still their father. If Mat was the only one that was seen in a positive light, that really was all that mattered for now. Granted, things would change the day their dearest sire was pushing daisies.

Until then, her focus was elsewhere. "Tch... If you don't hear the Shade, you aren't listening hard enough. Father doesn't hear it so well as he used to. And perhaps it speaks to you, and you don't even realize?" Mat's tail flicked, watching him intently for a moment. "How often do you desire our beloved father's end, at your own paws even? By all means, create your own path. Mine lies that way," she said, gesturing in the direction where she and Umbra slept, "Because I know the death that is required of me lays there. Not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but I hear the whisper, and will know when it is time," a smile played on her maw at the thought. That would be a thrilling day indeed. "I believe that Death comes for us all, and some, it comes for much sooner than others," she answered, knowing even now, she intended to become a tool for the Shade. For Death, or whatever name one would call such a being to bring about the end.
