Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

It seems the female is not as thrilled with company as I am but I let it slide off me, unruffled as I typically am, offering a bright smile to hopefully dim the misgivings in her eyes. To me, this was a fortuitous chance to spend some time with my nephew, having been so involved in my duties as the healer. That had been the driving force of my entire life when I had met Hadrian and decided it was the path that was right for me. Some things made perfect, intrinsic sense, and that was it for me - almost like the bond for me and Israfel. When he turns his eyes on me with a sort or childish chastisement my face soften a bit. “I am sorry, Triton. I should not let my duties overcome my family.” At that moment Matianak turns and offers her input, making my head lift over my nephew, floppy ear facing towards her as I smile cajolingly. “You are right, Mat,” I say, having assumed if she gave her nickname to Triton that I, too, could use it. “New friendships are a good thing to have.” I bump gently into Triton, a warmth in my chest at watching him grow and become an adult.

Triton goes on to describe his companion and my tail wags in excitement at the idea. I had always wanted to pet friend of sorts but had never had the opportunity to bond with another creature. Truth was, I was growing lonely without my brother for company and the older I got, the more I longed for the company of a certain silver wolf. “He sounds wonderful, Triton!” Even the nipping and chasing part, my legs twitching beneath me with the urge to run and dance. Matianak reminds me of my question with her answer and I tilt my head with a thoughtful expression. “I don’t know him but his role is important.” Triton jumps in exclaiming about ranks and I grin at Matianak. “Do you have aspirations for a rank as well?”
