Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

what a curious life we have found

Did the word confuse him? He seemed dazed by the word play. It made Badar curious but it little more; she simply nodded eagerly, exaggerating the movement to truly drive the meaning home - of course! But he didn't seem all too excited about giving them his friend and so, she was respectful of that at least. To her, it made sense. She wouldn't just give her siblings to anybody to play with either! They were hers more than they were anybody else's - even Zion. But she hadn't any way to tell him she understood; instead, all she could do was grin up at him and scramble back a pace or two to give him room. It was Eira who had the most control in such situations - at least, Badar thought, until their brother understood her better.

She followed his eyes towards the water - eager to know everything their brother did. Swim? It was a new word. She mouthed it though no voice would ever come from her; the word felt like water in her mouth. Her sister did the same though she spoke, questioning the term, before she looked to Badar; Badar merely shrugged and shook her head though she eyed the ocean off immediately. It had something to do with that after all.

She had been brave enough before to enter the water but this time, opposite to her sister, she was tentative and cautious in entering the small waves that lapped at the shoreline. Her eyes watched their brother closely, observing each and every move he made as she waited for the word to manifest in his actions. Swim! It did sound exciting and he seemed eager to show them (or rather, his own kind of eager - it seemed obvious to Badar that like herself, he too had some...issues with expression). And so as her sister dashed about, Badar stood patiently in the water as it lapped at her elbows.
