Kajika was unsure of what to think of Cuirass. There was definitely much more to the man than met the eye, but the brindled boy didn't really care. His being involved and constantly doing something kept him distracted. Learning other avenues of hunting was both a solid distraction, as well as a way to increase his skill set. His cerulean gaze was fixed on the older man, though he continued to remain aware of the area around them. The stray swivel of his ears. He had taken to constantly being aware.
Again, the boy nodded. He knew there was no need to elaborate as to why he wanted to learn this new skill. It was as much a distraction as it was to make him better suited to lead the pack's hunters. That he was quite certain of in the future. Kajika just needed to build on what he already knew in preparation for that. This was a good way to help. The fact it served as a distraction from the loss of his parents was an added bonus.
His eyes flicked to the tree Cuirass had come down from. That one was a bit daunting both for his inexperience and his size. Kajika followed quietly at the man's beckoning. He kept pace easily, looking at the various trees at the borders. When Cuirass found a suitable one, the boy stopped alongside his current teacher, watching intently. He did notice that there were lower branches on this one. Likely to serve as more of a learning tool rather than any inability Kajika currently had. The brindle and white boy stood there, watching as his first lesson began.
He saw the fluidity in which the man moved up the tree. He wasn't sure if he felt a small bit of jealousy, or perhaps it was awe. It was that ease of motion that Kajika had on the ground that Cuirass had going up the tree. He tilted his head ever so slightly once the man was on his perch. His eyes looked the tree up and down, having noted where Cuirass had placed his paws. Kajika looked back to his teacher at the right moment, noticing the gesture for him to give it a try.
Kajika took a breath, focusing now on what he needed to do. His agile form moved fluidly as he started forward with a quick burst. He did make his leap a little bit closer to the tree than Cuirass did, having accounted for his own smaller stature compared to the other male. He tried to think of it more as still running, just up a tree rather than a flat surface, his paws flexing and nails scraping against the tree bark as he managed to get to the side of the branch as Cuirass had, and even managed to get himself onto it. Though rather than a gracefully taken seat, Kajika's footing was uncertain, resulting in him splaying out, his left and right legs on either side of the branch with a resounding oooff escaping him. It was just enough that he wasn't so sure he wanted to try and stand up on the branch yet.
