Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

As the curtain of night falls around the world and the creatures of the day make their way to their dens, Raven is seen doing the complete opposite. He knows not where this sudden thirst came yet he saw no reason not to sate it. And so he does, his gait easy and gentle as he navigates the maze that is this forest. It is his home, has been for some time now and he knew it like the back of his paw. Given his advanced age it is little wonder, he had more than enough time to memorize every tree and hidey-hole.
It does not take him long to find the little creek that runs through the wood. Dipping his impressive crown he laps at the surface, watching as the ripples expand and destroy the mirror image that is his face. His mind meanders down memory lane, noting that his life was rather simple yet enjoyable. He had no mate, no pack, no direct ties, and it ran a predictable schedule. It was how fate deemed it, but perhaps it is time he changed that. Drawing back, he raises his head to the transitioning sky, a contemplative gleam shimmering within his eyes.

(Sorry it sucks...was trying to toss it up quickly for our plot)
