The swamp had been interesting but Ruby had yet to fully understand the implications that had went along with their visit - most of all, she hadn't been able to understand why Obsidian seemed so interested in it. She had decided fairly quickly that it was a smelly place that didn't seem worthy of the bones it homed. But how would she be able to bring them all back to their den? Ah, she hadn't gotten that far yet - but she had ideas.
Perhaps that was her ulterior motive when she sought out her siblings. Maybe she'd be able to convince them to help her! It'd be good if they could work together, right? Yes, she really did like that idea. Maybe even their mother would help! The prospect of it all made her practically shiver with excitement as she bounded laps around the den's maw. She had called for her siblings but that didn't mean she'd wait forever!
With a final lap around the den and after a quick stretch of her limbs, she had taken off towards the shoreline. Her nose hovered along the ground as she eagerly hunted for bones or hidden curiosities to dig up - practice, practice! Maybe she'd find something pretty enough for their mother, or something she could give Lethe or Obsidian.
And then she did find something. Half-way along the shore, she had come to an immediate stop; her tail swung up over her back in excitement as she sniffed at the sand. Something was under there. Old! It was old! But it was something...and so she wouldn't miss the opportunity to put her paws to work for it!
