leader of the whole pack
Cypress blushed rather obviously at Mallos' knowing glance, but her chin raised just a notch. She wasn't ashamed of liking Thoth, of course, but... She shot him a quick glance. At least he was a bit dense in this department, if not in many others. She can't hide her interest when Mallos mentions Thoth's mother; all she knew about Aura had come from Poppy and Jacopo, and she had to admit more than a little curiosity. The fact Aura was a goddess was rather secondary to the fact that she was Thoth's mother. Surely there were sides of him that only she knew? And what was she like, anyways?

Danny choked on a laugh at Thoth's comment to Mallos, one part amused and one part appalled - and another, smaller part, that was more than a little impressed.

"God of lame?" he murmured as Thoth joined them, the tiniest grin warring with his respectful nature.

What was it like, travelling between worlds? Was it scary, like the shift from Knell? Would they be separated? What if she was abandoned in the middle of nowhere all alone this time? Cypress slid her hand into Thoth's, looking more than a bit nervous. Mallos' warning made her gulp quietly, but she nodded, her expression firm. She wouldn't let anything happen to Thoth - or Danny, though they both knew he was a bit of an afterthought.

"We will," Danny said, sounding more confident than he felt.

And then they were somewhere else. Cypress gaped at the sky, ignoring the sting of sharp wind on her face. This really wasn't Shaman. She wasn't sure how she knew it, but... there it was. The knowing. She released Thoth's hand a bit reluctantly, using it to try and keep the rain out of her eyes as the wind tugged strands of her silky hair from her brands.

"Hmmm?" she said distractedly; she was so busy studying their surroundings that it took Thoth's prompting to draw her gaze to the house. Her eyes went wide, her mouth dropping open in blatant shock. Her mind went blank. Thoth was rich. Like... rich, rich. Danny rolled his eyes - he was impressed too, of course, but at least he'd had a vague idea. As he'd told her, Thoth was the son of a goddess after all. He gave her a little tug to draw her along after Thoth as they headed for the house. They stood shivering slightly inside the door, Cypress tentatively poking the finely carved railing of the wide staircase. The pair had probably cost a pretty penny - more money than she was likely to see in her lifetime.

The three stood in silence for a moment, looking at each other with the same sort of hesitation. Now that they were here...

GRU GRU GRU.

Danny startled at the rather loud growling noise, blinking in surprise. Cypress turned bright red, wrapping her arms around her midsection and shrinking a bit with embarrassment.

"I didn't have time for breakfast," she admitted sheepishly in a somewhat small voice.

Cypress;
