Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

One… Two… Three.

One… Two… Three…

No matter how many times she counted the pups at her side, the number remained the same - there were three. But… they was supposed to be four. And while it was not all that uncommon for one of her pups to wander off, especially in the daytime since they did not want to be restricted to the same hours that Macaria was, it was odd that it was Kiora that was missing. The little lass was the one who most often kept close to home, the least likely to wander. And so though there was nothing to worry about… Macaria was still worried. Macaria turned to her mate and nuzzled him, trying to jostle him awake. She started with kisses upon his snout, but if he did not wake quickly enough, her kisses would turn to soft but insistent nibbles that pulled at his audettes.

My love, did Kiora tell you that she was going anywhere? She… she isn’t here. Everyone else is – Evandros, Missandei, Ronan… but Kiora… I’m worried about Kiora.

Her words were slow and sluggish - after all, the sun was bright overhead, and this was when she normally rested, not when she was normally awake. She shook her head and tried – unsuccessfully - to clear the slumber from her mind, but it was a heavy weighted blanket upon her consciousness, and only the adrenaline pushing through her veins was allowing her to even focus a little bit. All she wanted to do was find her daughter, but it seemed that today was to be a big day - Before she could question her mate or even wake up any of her pups and question them any further, a demanding call ripped across the sky and echoed off the walls of the cave that they called their home. There was no mistaking the owner - it was their king, their Alpha – Kershov - and perhaps someone that Grey Wind and Macaria also called a friend. Out of everyone in the pack, she and her mate had known Kershov the longest, back when he had been a king of a different realm. Back when he had very nearly been a completely different kind of a king - more of a general really. The femme fatale’s brows furrowed and she glanced at her mate.

You shall have to tell Kershov that I cannot make it, not to the top at least, not while daylight rules over the world. I will… Stay here, look through the caves for Kiora for a bit. You should take the others and go. I will try to find a tunnel that leads to where the meeting is… But I will not be able to make it above ground. You know that, I know that, and he knows that. Or at least he should, if his head has gotten any less thick.” She turned to each of her pups and nuzzled them awake, spending a few seconds too long touching each of them, wishing that all four of them were there together. “Come now, my loves. Kershov calls and you must not keep him waiting. Have… Have any of you seen your sister?” She peered anxiously at each of them, but Evandros shook his head. Evandros snuck off just about every single day for a few hours… but he had not noticed his sister leaving.

Macaria whined, but then ushered her three balls of fluff toward her mate. They were hardly pups anymore… They were no longer mainly hair and body, but they actually had legs sticking out now. Soon enough, she would be kicking them out of the den… But she would still enjoy their company, something she had seriously been concerned she would never be able to do. Her deepest darkest fear was that she would be a terrible mother, like her own mother had been. But instead, she loved each of her children deeply and done well by them, caring for them and letting each of them know that they were loved. Macaria watched as her pups faded into the light with Grey Wind, until there was nothing else to see but the light itself, no matter how much it stung her eyes… And so Macaria sighed and started searching the caves. All of these caves, or at least most of them, were surrounded by other caves. And most of them were thus connected… It was through that system that she traveled now, and though she had failed on one mission - finding her daughter - she succeeded at least at finding a path that led to the rock face that Kershov had hailed them from. She tilted her head up and let loose a howl, so that Kershov would hear her, and so that he would know that she was there, and listening… And then she leaned against the cool dark wall, in the shadows, and wondered where Kiora may have gone.
