Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

Test My Will, Test My Heart

Adara’s vocals rang through the pack, calling to the Rainbow, hoping that she would come. After a few moments she padded out of the territory, heading to somewhere different. She hated feeling confined to one place. She only hoped that Zawyne wouldn’t mind leaving her home to come and visit with her. It had been some time since the two had sat down to talk, and she felt bad that she had neglected the young femme she was in charge of protecting. But the younger female didn’t leave the Tempest waiting long. It was only a few moments before she heard the approach of another and recognized the familiar scent and feeling of the femme approaching. Her silvery plume wagged behind her as Zawyne approached. As much as Adara wanted to, she couldn’t reach forward and embrace or physically greet her friend. It was the hardest part of the Tempest Rainbow relationship, at least to Adara.

Once the Arcus Irae reached her, she immediately began speaking. It seemed that Adara had waited a little too long to call to meet with her. Zawyne had a lot on her plate and if the Tempest had been more conscious she would have sensed it. As much as she was trying not to let down Zawyne as she had so many others, it seemed that she had done just that. Guilt immediately swept over her, and a frown appeared on her features at hearing all that the younger femme had been going through. And she hadn’t been there for her. It didn’t matter if she kept her physically safe if she was so emotionally upset. Before Adara could come up with something to say, Zawyne’s stomach turned on her. It seemed to come out of nowhere, and she was worried that Zawyne must be sick with something. But then she felt the intense fear wash over the Rainbow and she knew exactly what she was thinking. There was only one true explanation for why that had happened. Instantly Adara was reminded of the battle that had gone on not too long ago. She was never one for violence, but sometimes it was necessary. And that had been one of those times. All of the Tempests had gathered together to help her father get his lover back, and also to protect the Rainbows. It was always to protect them in the end. “Adara…Are you… Expecting someone else? Please tell me yes…”

Before the Tempest could jump in front of Zawyne or give her any warning, he was there. It was one of the advantages the Vampires had over her. Their lack of scent and ability to move silently meant they could truly sneak up on someone. And Draven had done just that. Before Adara had a moment to react, the Vampire had leapt on Zawyne and had already sunk his fangs into her neck, sucking the blood from her. They were driven to the sweet scent of the Rainbows just as she was, but for very different reasons. Rage that she had never felt before filled her, and without thinking or knowing what she was doing, she was acting. Her large frame leapt through the air, aiming directly for the Vampire to get him away from Zawyne. She knew that he was expecting this and she had no element of surprise. But that didn’t stop her from doing what needed to be done. Adara knew that he would be a tricky opponent, so she just went for something basic, trying to knock him on his back. As she tackled him, she finally spoke to the Rainbow. ”Zawyne, run home, now!” She didn’t have time to see if she listened or not. She only hoped that she wasn’t too hurt to get away while she could. And Adara would do all in her power to keep the threat at bay until Zawyne was safe. And so her focus was entirely on the Vampire. If her initial lunge at the brute had been unsuccessful, she would quickly back up to regroup herself. This time she would aim for his limbs, hoping to get one of his front feet in her jaws and break whatever bone she could get a hold of. Whatever she could grasp with either attack, she would try to get her teeth in as deep as she could and do as much damage at once as possible.
