At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

✤Ghost I see you standing there, dont turn away, I want you to stay.✤

Brynjar wanted to get away from his mother, away from her constantly terrorizing them and having them try her different concoctions. The only one she didn’t terrorize was his sister. She said it would be inlupine to do something to one who can’t even see. Though really he was the one that got all the poison, his brothers seemed to just have to fight one another to see who was better.

Brynjar didn’t want this life. Though he’d never met anyone else on this land, he knew in his heart that this was not how pups should be treated. They should be loved or what ever love should actually be, but he knew in his heart this wasn’t that.

His cloven hooves pushed him through the thick underbrush of the trees and up the river. Until he veered off the path heading towards a waterfall he had heard some animals talking about. He wanted to see it, he wanted to actually get to enjoy something in his life before his mother ’Accidentally’ killed him with her poisons.

Thanks to his hooves he was easily able to maneuver over the rocks and anything that got in his way. He sighed and looked down at himself. ’Who am I kidding? Who would want to be friends with a monster like me?’ he thought to himself and kept trudging on. His small body was growing tired, but he told himself he wouldn’t stop until he got to the waterfall.

Though as he was walking across some rocks his horns that curled around his head got stuck in some tree branches. ”Ah! Crap!” He yelled as he tried to pull himself free. The branches bent with his pulls, but wouldn’t allow him to get free. Grunting the wolf pulled harder, causing his hooves to lose balance and his back leg to slip into a crack between two rocks. Screaming out in pain as the edge of one cut into his leg. Now he couldn’t get his leg free. Whimpering in pain he tried to pull himself free.

”Goodness. Why do I alway get myself into these messes! Can someone hear me? Maybe help me?!” He called out and whimpered in pain as he continued to try and get himself free.

✤Even a Ghost needs a friend, you could have been so great, I won't let you slip away, is there any hope for us left? Because even a ghost needs a friend.✤
