Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The wolves of the gathering were long behind and well out of mind. Even the wolf she had been hell bent on devouring- his thick blood still clung to her jaws painting the usual grey of her muzzle a darker shade of red. The blood was even still on her tongue for she truly savored the flavor even though she currently ran at a full out sprint. Sore was more than determined to catch the wolf who had broken the moment and taken her kill away, she would make him pay for that. Even more so, the wolf had used his voice to somehow wake up the wolf that resided within her. As soon as it had happened she had shut the mental door on him. But the fact of the matter caught her completely and entirely off guard.

Sore hadn't felt him like that in years. Sure he was always there, always present- forever a backseat passenger, but not in a way that had impeded or gotten in her way. If he had, she would have already taken care of the problem. For it had been so very long since the wolf inside of her had given up. Sore never expected to feel him again the way she had this day. The feline never thought that it was possible. She had to rid herself of the one responsible for the reaction today. She had to cleanse herself as well as all that existed around her.

The trail she followed brought her around a large lake, and yet there was no admiration in the eyes of cold ice and golden sunlight that look upon it. She did not care much for this land she had come to, and in truth the only positive aspect she had found was the plentiful bounty of wolves it held. Of all shapes and sizes, of all tastes and flavors. Regardless of this fact, however, she did not think it wise for herself to linger long. This was not a place that she belonged in. But the fury inside of her, it was enough to blind her and was the cause to bring her deeper in to the heart of the land. Soon enough the lake is giving way to what seems to be a thicket of trees. A strange scent assaults her then but she does not heed it or pay any mind. The trail of the dark grey wolf goes into the forest and so she follows, entirely unaware that the quickening of her pace has nothing to do with her own choices. Sore it far too distracted for any sort of realization to set in.

The sea calls to him in a way he hadn't known before. It had been just about a decade since the very last time he had been in this place. He couldn't see it all- not yet, but he could both smell it and feel it. They were here; at least, some of them were. Elohim had to be proof of that. Of course Eden remained, as he always would. He was eternal, after all, or so he had always seemed that way in the days of Eros' youth. The stench of his Father had been all too prominent upon the border of Glorall as he had passed. Sore took them further and further into the sea side pack and it was obvious she knew not what this place was to him. It gave him the barest glimmer of hope that he could scarcely hold on to let alone believe in. It was far too good to be true.

It had been so very, very long since he had felt like himself. It was a wonder that he was even present to the extent that he was- he had his brother to thank for that. Not all things could last, though, and unfortunately this was one of them. Sore is so close that she can imagine the wolf's scent as wolfs blood upon her tongue and she salivates in anticipation. She was going to have him and there wasn't a single other who could do a single thing about it. She was unstoppable, invincible, and wolves were weak and no match for her. Let any canine come curious enough to get themselves killed, and eaten, by the cat.
