The Light of Day

Hannah knew if she wanted her unborn foal to survive to birth she'd have to find a herd. With being alone she was looking warily around her so much that she wouldn't be able to eat enough for both herself and the foal. The birds were chirping there winter songs so she was sure for now at least it was safe so she tried her best to graze.

However; her ear twitches as she hears a slow approaching animal. She pulls her head up and watches as a stallion grazes in the distance. Okay possibly not a huge threat. She nips at her stomach as her foal moves around before returning to grazing. One ear stationary and on the approaching stallion. She could tell he was heading her way and was grazing so he had most likely no ill intentions towards her so she kept grazing.

When he was close, almost close enough that if she extended her muzzle she'd be able to just touch him she momentarily stopped grazing to watch him. She was a bit shy which is why she didn't speak yet. She snorted though to let him know she didn't mind. After all neither of them could fully graze alone now it was two of them and they could take turns if they wanted to. She kept one ear on him waiting possibly for him to speak. She had seen a few other mares walking off with stallions or other horses. perhaps this is where stallions came to find members for their herd. She eyesd the stallion by her. She'd definitly go with him he seemed fit and strong. She did know she'd have to be careful when her foal was born but she'd worry about that when it was time.
