Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

The two year gathering had been fun enough. After he wandered about some, Balor finally decided it was time to head back home to Asteraia. His mother and brother were... lacking presences lately. It wasn't that they weren't around, they just did not quite hold his attention like they used to. Sure, mother had taught him a great many things, but at two years old, the dark grey and black male felt it was time to start doing more for himself. In this particular moment, Balor meant to skirt south a little ways.

He traveled perhaps a bit too close to the borders of Diveen, the pack that neighbored his home to the south. But the fields were close enough to home that it really didn't bother him much. Yet so close to the fringes of the plateaus from the Ruieze fields, he could smell the wolf who ruled there. It was very... unlike Asteraia. And very masculine. The plains were ruled by the Pharaoh, and the mountains by sisters. All female. His ventures close to Taviora and Iromar revealed similar feminine smells. Not weak, just... female. He had not gone so far south as Glorall, so Diveen was the only anomaly in his mind. Most of the packs led by women, but this one was not. It caused a bit of intrigue. So much so, that Balor gave an audible hmm... in thought.

It's not like anyone was going to follow him. Yet the low, dark clouds were what seemed to give him pause. It was as though the weather might take a foul turn at any moment. Balor shrugged slightly and slowly crept forward, closer and closer to Diveen's invisible border. He paused briefly. His ears twitched ever so slightly. Someone else was about. He cast a glance over his shoulder, teal marbled eyes scanned for the source of whatever might lurk, or even have followed him.
