She could tell something was bothering Lissa but she was trying hard not to show it. Tilting her head, she wondered if there was something she could do to help. It wouldn't do for there to be tension within the herd. She knew Lissa hadn't really forgiven Rougaru for what he said when Noctis was a newborn. She may not understand firsthand yet what it was like to have your own child, but she was beginning to know just how protective a mother can be over her foal. She had no doubt she would be the same and she didn't blame Lissa for her feelings against Rougaru. She only wished the mare would go to him to talk before she resorted to violence. Sure, violence was her own usual go-to as well but she didn't mind telling another just what she was thinking either and she knew Lissa wasn't shy.

She just had to learn how to say what she was feeling. She was glad Lissa wouldn't turn Noctis against his father cause that wouldn't do anyone any good. She just wanted to help them through it. She finally vented, telling Monster that she didn't want Noctis to hate his father and that it seemed Rougaru never had his own children before so she blamed that but said his words were cruel. Monster nodded. "He should not have called him weak, that is true. But Noctis is growing now and he needs a strong role model. He needs his father. For his sake, I think you should move past this and let him create his own opinion of his father. Rougaru is proud and a stallion's pride is both a strength and a weakness. He won't apologize, but he can show his opinion has changed through interactions with you and with Noctis, if you allow it." She pricked her ears, hoping her words were understandable.

Lissa told her that she didn't think it would help for Monster to go after him so she nodded in understanding. Then she said that Rougaru going to him might help but then it might make it worse. Monster scowled thoughtfully. She smirked when Lissa said Rougaru didn't think before he spoke. "Not always, no. He is certainly a stallion of his own mind. Dwelling on the past does nothing but make you and those you care about miserable though. I'm not saying you should forget, but holding onto this is only weighing you down and no one wants to see that. I don't." She reached out to bump Lissa's shoulder lightly with her muzzle.
