This was not a moment to simply call for the wolf who had stepped into Eden's place. No, Matianak wanted to see Elohim faced to face when she addressed him, and with minimal issues. Actively healing wounds, while statement making, were not the statement she wished to make. Instead, she waited for summer to end before she sought out the wolf who was Here and Now. Her tail flicked slightly as she padded along the freshest scent trail, though she knew not exactly where it led just yet.
The grey woman had healed well enough. The limp was gone, so her leg had mended properly. The gash on her head had not festered, though the silver line with some mild redness to it was still quite visible. Her fur had not yet grown back to cover the scar between her eye and ear. If it remained visible, so be it. Let it be a mark that a woman who moved so gracefully with words also did so with her fangs.
Her ears twitched slightly. Finally, she thought. Her steps remained steady. Already, she had been calculating. What might she say or do? That was any wolf's guess. Still, Elohim needed a new Thorn, or whatever he might choose to call her instead. This was step one. After that, Matianak knew all the pieces would fit together, especially the more time she spent near him. It was strange, even, that they had never properly engaged in any conversation to her own knowledge. Strange, but now more easily remedied.
"For a wolf who calls himself the Here and Now, you are more difficult to find that I had expected, she said. Her pale blue eyes knew the wolf she had found, the question was, would he pause to face her, or wait for her to catch up and continue on the path he had chosen. "Then again, I expect no less given who your father is," Matianak added. Which piece would fall into place next?
