She knew the journey would be difficult, yet she persisted. There were times where she imagined she may never make it. Hope had all but escaped her when land finally breached the horizon. With a last surge of energy she had somehow made it! Her legs scrambled beneath her as they finally made landfall, pulling her body from the unrelenting sea. Her dark eyes scanned her surroundings, locking in on the grassy knolls just beyond the sandy shore, and she pressed on. Her legs felt foregin to her in her exhaustion as she stumbled through the sand, finally reaching the grass. Eyota finally allowed herself to rest.

Eyota dropped to the ground immedialtly and began to roll. Never in her life did she remember grass feeling so..so...Amazing! She grabbed at the long grass as she rubbed the salt from her coat, how itchy it was! Finally she came to rest, remaining on the ground with softened eyes, finishing off the last mouthful of the sweet grass.

So far, there wasn't much to be seen, but she remained on alert. This place was new to her. She knew nothing of the dangers that could be lurking in the forests, behind the trees, or even in the trees! But she was SO tired. Her legs ached despite no longer supporting her weight. She imagined they would likely hurt for quite some time. Horses weren't made to travel as far as she did, but she was persistant on reaching this paradise. Now what did this paradise hold for Eyota? Only time would tell.
