PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

fearghas

The clouds loomed heavily overhead, laden with dark greys and near blacks that promised rain soon. It was not unusual for this time of year, but considering his purpose, they felt like an ill-omen. But he had to try. He couldn't let Ally languish forever in the Lagoon against her will, and he absolutely refused to countenance the idea of her still being captive in the Fall. She had made it through one unscathed, but things were different now. Cullen had already made threats against her firstborn, which implied to Fearghas that he might not be above forcing a mare into motherhood she did not want.

Fearghas would die before he let that happen to her.

The young stallion moved cautiously into the Peak, his ears flicking back and forth in search of any sound. He swore that he could feel eyes on him, and yet he couldn't see any discernable shapes amongst the barren landscape. It put him even further on edge, but he could not abandon his task. Cullen had said that the freedom of one of these bachelors would ensure the freedom of Ally, and while he knew that he could challenge for it, he thought he might have better luck if he just explained what was going on.

Surely they wouldn't want to give up their captives, but maybe they would consider it if it would rescue a mare from the Lagoon?

Even such a statement made him uneasy. To think that he had allied himself with an institution that anyone needed rescuing from made his stomach churn, but he couldn't undo what he had already done. Fearghas had arrived as a clueless two year old and had bought into a false narrative that the Lagoon was simply a home for lost boys and those that did not want a herd life. He had not had the world experience at the time to see that it was no more than an organization of thugs. Kendry had given him hope that things might be different, that not all of his brothers were terrible, but Kendry was gone now too.

With a resolute shake of his spotted coat, Fearghas called out for the Peak mares. He did not know if he needed a leader, or if one of the general herd would suffice, but he needed their attention either way. Ally needed rescuing, and he couldn't do it alone.
