around 1991 the queen became queen of australia. the vc is nolonger an imperil award. it is a stand aione australian award, of course having the same standing as before.the minister of defence says yes or no to the award.it doesnt have to have british defence people to say who can get it.the queen merely signs the paper..their have only been 4 australian VCs awarded .dont know if paddys was imperial or australian.the four ausie ones r from afghanistan..all the best for 2021 Replies:
