When he heard answering hoof beats coming toward the shore, Ryder had hoped it might be the leader of the Peak, so he was pleasantly surprised and hopeful when the dark figure of a blanketed mare that matched exactly the description Lillika had given him stepped out, instead. He could smell other Peak mares on her coat so she must live here, or at least had stayed here a while. Her eyes were kind but cautious as she approached. He didn't blame her so he tried his best to assure her, lowering his head and resting a back leg as he pricked his ears and gave a friendly smile.

She asked what brought him to the Peak and he gave a light chuckle before he responded. "Actually, I'm hoping you might be able to help me with that. You wouldn't be happen to be Iris or Eve, would you?" He waited for her answer before giving a more sheepish smile. "Sorry to be forward, but I promise, I only have good intentions. I was actually sent here to search for two sisters, mares matching your description. I am from the Prairie and there's a gentle soul called Lillika there that would really love to reunite with her daughters." He gave her time to take it all in, hoping he wasn't overwhelming her. He hadn't planned to meet one of the mares he was looking for right off the back so if he was mistaken and she wasn't one of them, he would continue his search. Doesn't hurt to be hopefuly, right?
