Re(4): Radio These Days

You spend a sociopathic amount of time researching me, Jim. Yes, KFH studio staff did have to go back and feed the KBRA machine (change the reels) every other hour, and we did a weather cart a couple times a shift but that was about it.

I tried my experiment returning to jocking on KFH, was the MD and learned some stuff and got a lot of 'promotional' free records but I did go back to news. Having gotten record spinning out of my system and went to mornings--which despite the prestige and the better pay, was a pain in the butt getting up at 4am.

Were you a sales slug at KFH when you were in Wichita, or was that BM assessment of K-bra's from across the street at KFDI, Jim? I thought it was a good format for elevator music, but since you seem to know so much, why is it gone?

"Kay-bra... beautiful to turn to." I think our tapes were Bonneville, or was that a Drake holding? It was kind of a Montovani spiced with 'Girl from Ipanema" sound.

BTW, Once when you declared yourself the 'real radioman', I gave you my handle, but now you're claiming yourself 'professional', I guess I can use it if I want to.
