The Wiki is often just one person's opinion, sometimes truthful, sometimes slanted but usually just one viewpoint.
They dont care what you write, so long as you link every noun to another Wikipage. That's too much work. I tried it once but its too much trouble.
Course I didn't ever go to the Wiki to find out what it was, like thousands of us, we were in it. I always thought short records were so ya could fit more spots in without stackin em up.
Curious, what braintrust decided it was better radio to run 8 spots back to back? I think everybody's figured out that most radio station spot breaks last almost as long as their daily drive to work. Course its been a long time since I had to take 435 across town twice a day.
And the other thing I didn't understand until I was out of radio is that it's a very dumb idea to pay the same spots at exactly the same time each day.
You can practically predict the next spot by what exit you're passing on the way home! All those years listening to Ellen or whoever pitching $189 plastic windows. And we still bought Renewal by Anderson. Now in two houses!
Just one tip. Bob Hamilton's a right wing nut who sold his HVAC business and mostly hires new kids racing from one job to the next. One job we had, they replaced a bathtub drain upstairs and we had to reblow a whole ceiling in the family room because they missed the spot to cut twice, so we had three holes to cover. Just hard to get good help these days!
